Ran 3 packs through the jacuzzi and I did notice a difference, although it is not a "miracle" product that will instantly remove all residue. It is also quite time consuming, as the tub must be filled twice, once with warm water, and once with cold water, and run after each filling and draining, so 1 application can take almost an hour. It is what it is though, and for the price, and ease of doing, I can't complain too much. It DOES work, it is just time consuming.
The AquaVac Skim Shark Pool Skimmer 110v is a fun and easy way to clean the surface of your pool. The Skim Shark operates on a rechargeable battery and maneuvers across the top of the pool, sucking up leaves and debris that are floating on the surface.

As others have mentioned, it is fun to watch this guy go around the pool. Unfortunately the fun is the only part of functionality that exists for this skimmer. Its passive design, doesn't "suck up" leaves, rather it tries to catch them - this might be suffice if the design didn't create a small swell of water that pushes items out away from its mouth as it travels. Also, I have never been able to achieve the run time indicated.
I still throw it into the pool and let it swim around, the kids get a kick out of it, and it may pick up a few leaves or bugs.
AquaVac Skim Shark didn't work for me

I did not purchase this from Amazon. Got it for half the price (~$25) from a discount store. It did not work well capturing leaves, cotton, seeds, etc., on the surface of my pool. The surface tension on my pool would just cause debris to just slide around the rounded corners of the sharks mouth. Maybe if I glued a couple of razor blades on the front, the tension could be broken and more debris would go in! The instructions say it should run for 2-4 hours. After 3 charge/discharge cycles I only get 1 hour tops. It also will stop when it runs up against the steps in my pool, where it will hit a step below its nose, near the water line, and will just sit there and run until discharged. The sharper nose deflects it pretty well when it hits the sides of the pool.
Doesn't work

It goes across the pool collecting debris, but then it gets to the side and sits there so all of the debris floats out. We had to keep turning it.

This is a piece of junk. Don't bother. I returned the one I brought.
pre broken on / off switch
Reviewed by: Splash, Orange County, CA USA Review Date: 2010-07-10
the thing came with a "pre-broken" on / off switch. i can hold down the on switch and it would move, but the on switch won't stay on. this thing is poorly made. it's not worth spending the money on only to have to return it again.
i ordered one of the above and was told my order could not be processed due to the billing and shipping addresses being different. well, then i replaced the order and was told it was no longer available, so i re-ordered another one from another distributor. Well, i now have three of these but only needed one. the product is okay but i almost hope it wears out before the kreeepy does so i can use all three in my lifetime!
