While a bit intimidating in its heft, the intimidation stops there. This is one of the best-written books I have ever read about some of the greatest (and most humble) human beings to walk this earth and serve our Lord. It is accessible, funny, moving, fascinating and inspirational, enough so to get me to get many of the separate works by the doctors and devour them. This book will show you many ways to grow closer to God and serve Him better. I can't recommend it more highly for what should be the most important priority in your life.

This is such an interesting book! It is very accesible - not too heady and scholarly to enjoy.
Fr. Rengers tells the personal story of each of the beloved doctors of the Church. These are fascinating histories that include both the strengths and the weaknesses of each Saint. Fr. also gives a great synopsis of the impact, both immediate and long term, that each Doctor had on the Faith and Church.
It is rare to find such an academically outstanding book that is also just a down right fascinating read. This book will strengthen your faith, increase your understanding of Catholic doctrine and Church history, and will keep you amused for hours!

When I moved to the apartment I now live in, I found the toilet seat very uncomfortable. The hole in the seat was small, and I had to wrestle whenever I used it. The Mayfair toilet seat is a pleasure to sit on. I am thankful every time I sit on it. It is also a pleasure to clean. One thing about cleaning though, if you use a strong cleaner, don't let the cleaning solution set, because it will change the pretty pink color, and leave tell tale signs of where the cleaner was allowed to stay for a period of time.

Installation easy and shade of pink so close to my old 1940s toilet that no one not looking for trouble would see it might not be exactly the same. My pink toilet had date manufactured impressed into tank sidewall and made in USA, but no manufacturer's name anywhere. So I was in a bit of a quandary on how to decide how to order a seat without buying a color match set. I took a chance on this because the toilet is really in great condition except the seat; now that too is JUST RIGHT! Thanks for providing such great service and product.

We're living in an old rental house that has the original fixtures from 1960. The main bathroom that guests use had a toilet seat that was damaged from the seat top bumper breaking off and causing gouges in the sitting seat part. It looked lousey, and we looked in all the home improvement stores for a new seat to match the toilet base to no avail. Then my husband went online and thought he had found the right match, but it was the wrong brand. Never hearing of the original brand name Mayfair, he was sure we would have to keep the original. But, the internet is a great thing and so we googled "Mayfair" and wala, in three days had our new toilet seat that matches perfectly, and the bath now has that retro-look and all is well in the world!

This is a really good quality toilet seat. The hinges are well made and sturdy. The finish on the wood is high quality and looks very good. Would highly recommend this product. Well worth the price. I bought a wooden seat in cherry finish from another company for a different bathroom at half this price and was very disappointed. I would buy another one of these, if I could find it in cherry, in a minute.

plastic seat covers is a no go, so i decided to look here. I wanted something wooden, and this was the one i picked. I don't regret it.
it's nicely polished, and it matches my shower curtain. my whole toilet looks like it needs to be replaced just to go with this toilet seat cover. Actually, make that.. the whole bathroom. the only downside is the price, but it does seem worth the price.. but still.. ouch. >.<

I happen to have brown toilet/sink in my guest lavatory. When my original seat died, I had a hard time finding a nice replacement. I must say I love this seat. It is really beautiful and comfortable. It is an exact fit for my older, round toilet and the color is a perfect match. The wood grain is very pretty and shiny. I am happy with my new potty.

The seat appears to be well made, and looks quite nice. I personally think that the idea of having a dark cherry seat on a white toilet bowl is itself a bit odd, though, so you might want to think long and hard about how it will look. I put it in a small toilet-only room with dark red walls and a white door, and it seems to work.
An aside: it occurs to me that if a woman has a tendency to fall into the bowl when her husband leaves the toilet seat up, this toilet seat could save their marriage. :^) When a person is half-asleep, a white toilet looks more or less the same whether the seat is up or down. Not so with this dark seat -- once a woman gets used to seeing it, it is hard to imagine that she would ever sit without first putting the seat down.
Oh, and wood doesn't feel cold when you sit on it, which is nice.

Fantastic price for it's quality. I was skeptical at first to replace it with my white toilet seat. But I needed the replacement to match the furnishings in my remodeled powder room. The Mayfair cherry seat turned out to be just as comfortable as my white one. The brushed-nickel hinges are even better (easier to clean also) looking than the plastic ones with caps--which pop opened from time to time. The free shipping was an added bonus. Delivery was quick.

I really like the seat, especially the brushed-nickel hinges. But, the seat itself has several run spots, touch up spots, nicks, etc. The quality control is definitely lacking, at least on my purchase.

Don't buy from this company! It does not take responsibility of what it sells. I ordered an elongated natural wood toilet seat from Antonline via Amazon. Antonline sent me an oval one. I contacted them. They told me to go on line and find out the return policy,which stated I have to send the seat back within 10 days and postage prepaid. I e-mailed the company again to protest. Have not heard from them since. Not a good company to do business with. You bought a $30 toilet seat and have to pay $20 shipping to ship it back because of their mistake! Avoid at all cost!
